The Bespoke(n) project has got started and we have had meetings in London and Edinburgh. The website (www.bespokenproject.com) will be live very soon and very soon after that the crowdfunding campaign will get started.
So, after two weeks in the sunshine, we’re back with three strong plot lines and lots of images and impressions for a sequel to Om Shanti Babe.
I’m very excited about being Seven Stories’ Writer in Residence for the Enid Blyton Collection. I will be working with children and teachers at the primary school in Byker and the lovely staff and volunteers at the archive and visitor centre in the Ouseburn Valley. This is bound to be thirsty work. I wonder if I get a ginger beer allowance?
So, Om Shanti, Babe is out and about and being read and getting some nice reviews and everything. It is definately time I stopped faffing and did some work on Karma Cookies. A friend has given me a notepad from her husband’s work stash. It has a drawing of a skeleton on one side. My handwriting has gone very neat all of a sudden. I wonder what else will be affected. ..
The spanish language version of My Mother is a Troll, published by Milrazones, will be out in the Autumn. Ole!
An interesting morning at Seven Stories sorting out OSB material for the Diverse Voices archive. Very sensibly, they turned down the lumps of beeswax and very graciously they only grimaced a little at my terrible handwriting. Thank you Hannah!
